Here at Wellies Day Nursery, we are huge advocates of investing in the future of our super amazing team. There’s been some wonderful recent achievements amongst our dedicated staff that we had to share…
Congratulations to Paige for completing her level 5 early years course - Paige is now a qualified lead practitioner!
Devon, Aimee & Abigail have just completed their level 3 diploma and can work as early years practitioners so huge congratulations to them!
And finally, a big hooray for Hollie who has just finished her level 2 qualifications!
All of the Apprentices have been working super hard over the last few months to push themselves further in their careers and we couldn’t be prouder. The work they do for our children on a day-to-day basis is what makes Wellies a standout nursery with an amazing team of staff. We want to acknowledge this with a big thanks to all of our amazing team for their continued dedication and hard work - we wouldn’t be able to be anywhere near as brilliant without them.
We also have other staff actively studying towards more level 3 and level 5 qualifications so we can’t wait to share that good news with you when they complete their courses!
Working in an early year’s setting is such a rewarding career that is easy to understand why so many find it attractive as a job. Getting to watch little ones come into their own and develop as they explore the world around them is hugely satisfying. Seeing them learn is something that never gets old - you might be there for their first word or step and share those truly magical milestones with them! From welcoming a child on their first day to waving goodbye to them on their last, having the opportunity to make a life-long impact on a child gives you an incredible sense of achievement. It is a job where you feel valued and motivated - even more so when done within such a supportive setting as Wellies.
Our staff here are important to us as they are the ones that are shaping a future generation and setting the foundations for life-long learning. This is why we are committed to nurturing our staff and helping them develop in their chosen careers. People that work in early years are passionate about working with children and many stay in the sector for decades. This is why we believe in investing in our team, and this is evident in our senior members of staff who have been with us for nearly 25 years, and our core group of staff that have been with us for the last decade!
We know that we are bias, but we really believe that we have one of the best jobs in the world here at Wellies. Yes, there are days that are challenging as in any job but most days you go home with a smile on your face knowing that today you have made a difference! Working within early years at Wellies provides you with many transferrable skills and you can guarantee that it will be fun and full of variety - no two days will ever be the same!
