For every family, starting school is one of the biggest milestones in a child's early years. It's an exciting time, but it's perfectly natural for both children and parents to feel a mixture of excitement and nerves about the transition to Reception. 

 

At Wellies Day Nursery, we believe that school readiness is about much more than learning letters and numbers. It's about helping children develop the confidence, independence, resilience and social skills they need to embrace their next adventure with enthusiasm. 

Throughout the year, and especially during the summer months before children leave us - our team carefully plans activities that support every aspect of a child's development. We create opportunities for children to practise everyday skills, build friendships, solve problems and become confident learners, all through the power of play.
