Spring is the season of renewal and rebirth; it literally puts a spring in our step! The feeling of the sun on our face and the smell of freshly cut grass, what are your favourite Spring sights, sounds and smells? 
It is a time when the natural world awakens from its winter slumber, and new growth and life emerge. The weather during Spring is typically mild and pleasant, with warmer temperatures and longer days. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the sound of birds singing fills the air. 
 
During spring we will see the growth of new plants and flowers, and it's when we begin to see a lot more colours.  
 
The most common flowers that grow in spring include sunflowers, daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, crocuses, snowdrops, primroses, peonies, and magnolias. 
 
New flowers are a great way to get your little one to explore more, so here is a list of all the flowers that are safe for your child to be around. 
 
Nasturtiums are a great option; they have velvety blossoms in a variety of colours.
