You will be added to the system by Nursery and sent log in details. Please use this to see what your child has been doing and make comments - or add photos from home, all through the downloadable app. Click here for Parent Guide to EyLog. At Wellies we are committed to working with you to ensure your child has a positive Nursery experience. We will listen & respond to your wishes when caring for your child. We will meet with you & your child before they begin Nursery & discuss routines, meals, dislikes & favourites! This is followed by 2 short sessions – allowing your child to get to know us!
We meet with you every day – when welcoming your child to Nursery & when you collect your child – we will ask you how your child is & at the end of the day inform you of activities, learning, meals & general welfare.
Records of development are kept in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. These observations are recorded on the eyLOG system by your child’s Key worker in every age group, along with other members of the team. We welcome any comments and/or observations about your child’s progress – which you can add through the eyLOG portal.
Progression from room to room usually occurs every 6 months –you will be sent a letter advising you of the move dates, key person and to check eyLOG for the Summative Report, on which you can comment, before submitting back to us.
The Academic Year before your child goes to school will be spent in our pre school group – Super Ted’s. We hold 2 Parents Evenings per year – usually in February & June – when there is an opportunity for you to meet with your child’s Key worker & discuss your child’s learning journey.
The Wellies Team are very knowledgeable about childcare & will be happy to advise you with any childcare issues you may have – potty training, good eating habits, positive discipline & playing together.
We welcome your input & may specifically ask for items from home – or welcome your to visit us in your professional capacity!
